With a variety of beaches and state parks, Delaware is the perfect destination for an unforgettable vacation. It’s also a great place to live if you’re looking to be close to the ocean. Here are some of my favorite spots to visit in Delaware.
1. Wildwood Crest State Park
Wildwood Crest State Park is located just outside Wilmington, DE. You can spend the day at the beach or take a hike along the trails.
2. Bear Island State Park
This park is located in Georgetown, DE. It has two beaches that are perfect for surfing and swimming.
3. Cape Henlopen State Park
Cape Henlopen State Park is located in Lewes, DE. It offers visitors a unique combination of natural beauty and history. The park is located along the Atlantic Ocean and is one of the best places in Delaware to go surfing. You can also enjoy the beautiful beach and visit the lighthouse.
4. New Castle County Park
New Castle County Park is located in Wilmington, DE. It’s a great place to hike or relax in a hammock.
5. Lewes –
Located near the southern tip of Delaware, Lewes has beautiful beaches and historic landmarks like the historic district and The Lighthouse.
6. Rehoboth Beach –
The town of Rehoboth Beach is located along the Delaware coast and is famous for its boardwalk, which has over 400 shops, restaurants and other attractions.
7. Milford –
This coastal town is home to the world-famous Milford Plaza, a shopping center with over 90 stores.
8. New Castle –
Located just east of Wilmington, New Castle has beautiful architecture and an interesting history. You can visit the many historic sites and landmarks like the Castle Museum, which has exhibits about the state’s history.
